Character Spotlight: Meet Echo

Every witch needs a familiar. Or, at least, Echo would probably tell you that every witch needs him.

Echo is Ivy's raven companion and one of the more opinionated residents of the Alesi Forest. With iridescent feathers, an appreciation for anything shiny, and an appetite that Ivy is certain should not be physically possible for a bird his size, Echo has been beside her for much of her quiet life in the forest.

He's clever, observant, fiercely loyal, and entirely too pleased with himself.

Echo doesn't need many words to make his opinions known. And he has many opinions. He keeps a careful watch over the forest, distrusts strangers, and has an uncanny ability to notice trouble before Ivy does.

He also has an uncanny ability to make berries disappear. Ivy has yet to prove these things are related.

When Prince Evren arrives in Alesi asking Ivy to leave the only home she's ever known, Echo studies him like a puzzle to solve. Ivy isn't sure the prince can be trusted, and neither is Echo.

Fortunately for Evren, is willing to conduct a thorough investigation to prove he can be trusted.

After all, the forest knows its own.

And Echo is always observing.

Known for: Shiny treasures, stolen snacks, unsolicited opinions, and keeping a very close eye on Ivy.
